Property

All federal funding entities, and most subagreements with federal prime sponsors, require that a property report be submitted at award close out. These reports list all property purchased under a grant or contract (including property under subagreement) regardless of ownership.

The Department and PI are responsible for managing their equipment and purchases during the life of the grant and notifying OSP of property status during closeout.

If there is property to report, the Department completes sponsor property forms and submits to the OSP Awards Management Team for approval and submission to the sponsor. Some federal property forms can be found on the grants.gov website. For other forms, refer back to the sponsor guidelines or reach out to your OSP Awards Management Team Portfolio Owner.

If there is no property to report, a negative property report is often required. The Department confirms with the PI that there is nothing to report, completes the property form and submits to the OSP Awards Management Team for approval and submission to the sponsor
