Dear Research Community,
We're thrilled to announce the launch of our first live onboarding course, scheduled for March 13th, 2024: 2 pm – 3 pm! The goal of this course is to bring together relatively new research administration colleagues across the institution and provide an opportunity to network and discuss specific topics in research administration.
This course is a complement to the new Onboarding series we released in January. The panelists for this first course bring a wealth of experience in post-award research administration, and their diverse perspectives will enrich our conversations and learning experience.
Panelists for our session on March 13th include:
Christyne Anderson, Associate Director, Training and Compliance, OSP
Christyne has served in the role of Associate Director of Training and Compliance at the Office for Sponsored Programs for five years. She has also served in numerous other roles within the training and compliance space within research administration. In addition to her experience within OSP, Christyne has also served as a Senior Grants Manager within HMS.
Tracey Westervelt, Director of Research Finance
Tracey has served in various research administration roles throughout her career. In her current role as Director of Research Finance, Tracey oversees Training and Compliance in addition to all financial post-award functions for the institution.
Marc Todesco, Associate Director, Research Finance
Marc has been in OSP for almost 20 years in various post-award roles. He has a wealth of knowledge on post-award administration including but not limited to: use of GMAS for deliverables and receivables, closing out awards, and post-award compliance.
Note: Future live onboarding courses will include different panelists and topics of focus.
Prerequisites: Completion of the 13 onboarding courses is recommended.
