Question 1: The Local Managing Unit (Department) determines the need to establish a service center. Can the service needs be met elsewhere?
- If yes, a new service center is not needed.
- If no, proceed to Question 2.
Question 2: Is it a long-term need (more than 12 months)?
- If yes, complete the Request for New Service Center Form and submit it to your local school level official for review and approval. Then proceed to Question 3.
- If no, a new service center is not needed.
Question 3: The Local School Level Official reviews the Request for New Service Center Form. Is it approved?
- If no, please revise the Request for New Service Center Form and resubmit.
- If yes, the Department will be notified and the Local School Level Official will send a copy of the approval to the Local School Financial Office. The Local School Financial Office will work with the Department/Service Center personnel to set up a new service center account and will notify the Department of the new service center account coding string. The Department will then begin service center operations.
