ORCID iD

ORCID iDs are required for PIs on individual fellowship and career development applications submitted for due dates on or after January 25, 2020. Fellowship or career development award applicants must register for an ORCID iD and link it to their eRA Commons personal profile.

ORCID iDs are a digital identifier unique to each researcher. Workflow integrations allow this unique ID to create a link between the researcher and key research activities. For more information, read NOT-OD-19-109 and visit NIH’s website to view a video on how to get an ORCID.

Harvard’s Office for Sponsored Programs strongly encourages early adoption of the ORCID iD for anyone intending to apply for NIH or NSF funding.
