Live Onboarding Course – June 28th, 2024!
Dear Research Administrators,
We are thrilled to announce our second live onboarding course, schedule for June 28th, 2024: 10 am – 11 am! The goal of this course is to bring together relatively new research administration colleagues across the institution and provide an opportunity to network and discuss specific topics in research administration.
The panelists for this second course bring a wealth of experience in pre-award research administration, and their diverse perspectives will enrich our conversations and learning experience.
Panelists for our session on June 28th include:
Rob Kirsh, Director, Pre-Award, OSP
Rob has served in the role of Director of Pre-Award at the Office for Sponsored Programs for four years. He has also served in various research administration roles throughout his career.
Melissa Korf, Senior Director, Research Contracts, Data, & Security, HMS ORA
Melissa is a research administrator with more than 20 years of experience. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Research Contracts, Data & Security in the Harvard Medical School Office of Research Administration.
Megan Moore, Associate Director, Pre-Award, OSP
Megan has served in various research administration roles throughout her career. In her current role as Associate Director of Pre-Award, Megan serves as subject matter expert on policies and regulations governing sponsored research.
Melissa Francis, Senior Associate Director of Research Administration, SPH
Melissa is a research administrator with more than 20 years of experience in both higher education and hospital settings. Melissa has been at SPH for over 12 years and currently serves as the Sr. Associate Director. In her current role she negotiates a portfolio of grants, contracts, and data use agreements for the school, manages the team of central sponsored reviewers, and also serves as a subject matter expert on various sponsored research policies and regulations at the school. In addition to her experience within SPH, Melissa has served as an Associate Director for Sponsored Projects at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Prerequisites: Completion of the 13 onboarding courses is recommended.
