#  Federal Public Access Policy Sessions

On December 31, 2025, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) memorandum on [Ensuring Free, Immediate, and Equitable Access to Federally Funded Research](https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__bidenwhitehouse.archives.gov_wp-2Dcontent_uploads_2022_08_08-2D2022-2DOSTP-2DPublic-2DAccess-2DMemo.pdf&d=DwMGaQ&c=WO-RGvefibhHBZq3fL85hQ&r=xQrrUP-ZJj07C599pbHeoPD6FkXIALtpB7OsES1z2q0&m=zgLuE3_gfXRbONMSDLnHzlkYMpLQ1xHVdf8CPvoWPBXfnENql2SiHOaufbmSw9gN&s=P-7fQHMYa2T57DqXtpW89lyBVsN3JR5dFRORMCsxhAE&e=) \[PDF\] went into full effect. As a result, federally funded research, including publications and data, must be immediately available for the public to freely access and fully use.
