# European Commission/Horizon Europe upcoming funding opportunities: Health Pillar February 25, 2026 Dear Research Administrators, Horizon Europe (2021-2027) is the current research and innovation funding framework programme of the European Commission. Please see below for information regarding available funding under the Health Pillar of Horizon Europe for the 2026 call cycle. ## Health Pillar (HORIZON-HLTH) The Health Pillar goals include improving and protecting the health and well-being of citizens of all ages by generating new knowledge, developing innovative solutions, and integrating, where relevant, a gender perspective to prevent, diagnose, monitor, treat and cure diseases. Funds for this Pillar total €5.3 billion, to be awarded over the period covering 2021 – 2027.
