 Will you be designing or purchasing software or datasets with research funds? How about using Software or Cloud Hosting Solutions? The [Software Accounting Policy](https://policies.fad.harvard.edu/accounting-internally-developed-software) (previously called Accounting for Internally-Developed Software) has been updated with an effective date of 1/1/19. The policy defines when costs for purchased and internally-developed software or cloud-hosting arrangements must be capitalized.
