March 05, 2018

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) and the Office of Strategic Procurement have developed a new training opportunity to support schools awarded federal contracts over $700,000 that require Small Business Subcontracting Plans.

## In this training you will learn:

- What a small business subcontracting plan is, when it is required, and the importance of developing a viable plan
- Available resources to help you create an acceptable plan
- The best time to request assistance in the contract cycle

## The objectives of the training are to:

- Gain a better understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as it applies to Small Business Subcontracting
- Learn best practices for developing a Small Business Subcontracting Plan
- Understand the (post-award) reporting process for Small Business Subcontracting

Participating in the training is an excellent opportunity to learn more about this federal requirement whether you have already submitted a plan, are working on a proposal that may reach the $700,000 threshold, or anticipate receiving an award in the future.

You will also learn about inclusive purchasing best practices, as well as be provided with a variety of resources and tools to help ensure your awarded federal contract goals are met.

Training will be offered twice a year on both the Cambridge and Longwood campuses (additional trainings available upon request).
