In response to [the NIH's new requirement](https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-21-013.html) that, starting in 2023, all proposals must include a Data Management Plan (DMP), the Harvard DMP Working Group has developed a template to help researchers create compliant DMPs for their projects – whether sponsored or unfunded. Using the Harvard Library’s [DMPTool,](https://library.harvard.edu/services-tools/dmptool) researchers can access sponsor-specific templates (federal and non-federal), general templates, example answers, and guiding resources to successfully write a DMP for any research project or grant. Please see the [New Data Management Plan Resource](https://researchdatamanagement.harvard.edu/news/new-data-management-plan-resource) post on the Research Data Management @Harvard website for more information, or contact [dmptool\_support@harvard.edu](mailto:dmptool_support@harvard.edu) for assistance, feedback, or to schedule a consultation.
