# F&A Rates and Fringe Benefits Rates Information Now Updated on OSP Website

March 19, 2018

The OSP website has been updated with [fringe benefits rates for all rate areas for FY2019](/fy2019-fringe-benefits-rates) and with Harvard Chan School [rates for on-campus organized research, on-campus other sponsored activities, and all off-campus activities through fiscal year 2023](/fa-cost-rates-federal-sponsors). The [most recent federal F&A rate agreements](/fa-rate-agreements), dated March 7, 2018, are also now available.

Please note a few changes and additions to the SPECIAL REMARKS section that have been made **for clarification only**. They do not reflect any change to Harvard practices.

- The definition of the equipment contained in each rate agreement has been revised to reflect the wording found in the Uniform Guidance. It now matches 2 CFR 200.33. There is no change to Harvard’s equipment threshold.
- Each rate agreement now includes a statement reflecting Harvard’s practice of using the indirect cost rate where the work is performed for “part of” accounts. There is no change to Harvard’s practice.
- The two notes related to on-campus v. off-campus activities have been reworded to eliminate language which had contributed to some confusion. There is no change to Harvard’s practice.
